Fox News posted an interesting story that RTs may like to know about.
Doctors in New Zealand turned off the life support for a teen. The teen's family was against this decision. The doctors decided to cut life support because they felt there wasn't any hope.
Despite the odds, she has had recovery.
The article said that they used "specialist acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine practitioners for support during the critical period when life support was withdrawn." I'm not sure what "traiditional Chinese medicine practiitioners" do. I am guessing they take a holistic approach.
