Christmastime

Vacation and time off is impoRTant for a person’s overall health and wellness and productivity. Of course, we, Rec therapists already know this.

I was lucky to have a much needed week off vacation for Christmas. (I often take my week off at Christmas opposed to the summer).

I returned to work on Sun. Dec. 27th, which I am also very glad to be back at work. I'm very lucky (like my fellow CTRS) who have a job they love to do!

During my week off: I went to little ol’ Beckley, West Virginia and spent time with my parents, watched Star Wars (twice) with two different people, ate cookies (my favorite food) , drank coffee every a.m. with dad, and had a wonderful Christmas eve and Christmas.

One of my favorite parts was taking a trip to look at lights around Beckley.

I also did a lot of work on updating my web-site/ business during my time off. That is one of my personal hobbies.

My pages are not where I want them to be yet, but it is a great start. Check them out: http://www.dannypettry.com

People are awesome video!

I found a real neat video of people doing amazing things on facebook.
I thought it was interesting.
I imagine it took many hears of work and practice to gain those skills.
I was a former skateboarder. I know how much it takes to "get good."
What is a leisure activity that you want to "get good at?"
What about a work duty or task that you want to get good at?
