Course Title: Techniques for Helping Children to Decrease Verbal and Physical Aggression
TR Knowledge Area: Foundation Knowledge: Theories of human behavior and theories of behavior change, Principles of behavioral change
Credit: One (5) Clock Hour or (0.5) CEUs. Notice ten (10) Clock Hours = 1.0 CEU
Independent self-study learner will demonstrate an awareness of Ross Greene’s techniques on decreasing verbal and physical aggression, as evidenced by reading Greene’s (2005) book,“The Explosive Child” and passing an online written exam with a score of at least 70% or better within a one-year timeframe.
Information: You can print your certificate of completion immediately after completing a course or request for a certificate to be sent to you by mail.
Courses require reading a book or selected chapter from a book. I recommend using the public library. Go to our bookstore if you would like to order a copy of the book.

Danny is an approved provider of continuing education for RNs. Provider #: WV 2007-0520RN. The National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) does not pre-approve any continuing education activities at this time. NCTRC has published a handout on ways you can earn continuing education.
