Dr. Tim Passamore, CTRS is one of the leaders in our field.
He fwd. some awesome information at the ATRA List-Serv today:
Hi all - so this is one of those little things in life that is actually pretty cool and satisfying. Our daughter, Delaney, is in middle school and we received this brochure from the US Department of Education: Federal Student Aid. It's entitled "Start Here: Go Further" and I'm assuming it is sent far and wide to middle school families. Delaney is very secure in her plans (since age 3) to go to University of Michigan=)
I was leafing through it before it went to recycle. However, please note the attached page. This is a 32 page, full color college and financial planning booklet. When discussing bachelor's degrees, it highlights us. Yes, Recreation Therapy. It only mentions 16 degrees and there we are.
You may have already seen this and I’m not sure how this happened but it's fantastic! Thank you to NCTRC, ATRA or GT or whoever had a hand in this. A small victory.
Take care,
Diane
