Physicians gave updates U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords progress. They feel that she is great rehabilitation potential. I’m really glad to hear about her progress. I admire survivors.
She’ll be transferred to TIRR Memorial Hermann (Rehabilitation Center) when she is ready for rehabilitation.
As a Recreational Therapist, this raises the big question for me:
Will Giffords have Recreational Therapy services at this rehabilitation center?
Their web-site didn't show any matches when I did a search for "Recreational Therapy" and for "Therapeutic Recreation."
Their web-site shows success stories. I’ve not had time to read all of them yet, however, the pictures show people with recreation activities: pets, painting, with other people (social), with animals (horses), football, with activities (kites).
Lexie’s story, “Don’t give up” really caught my attention.
I plan to read all of these success stories!
