how mindfulness changes the brain
Mindful.org is one of my favorite online sites.
I recently discovered an article by Jennifer Wokin (2015, Sept. 20) regarding: How the brain changes when you meditate.
Many recreational therapists and DBT Therapists use meditation/ mindfulness training to help patients.
Here is a link to Wokin's article that I think you'd be interested in reading:

You can grown brain cells
I [Danny Pettry] am always fascinated by the brain.
There is a real neat TED talk about Sandrine Thuret (a neural stem cell researcher) who talks about growing brain cells.
I think many RTs who provide services for people with cognitive functioning needs may be interested by this talk:
Check it out here:

stress affects the brain
I’m a big fan of TED talks. I hope to give one someday.
Below is a link to a TED talk about how stress affects the
brain.
My focus as a practitioner is providing services for children
with abuse-reactive needs. These kids have suffered traumatic experiences.
The trauma causes major changes to the brain as well.
