I love NCTRC!
I can recall doing volunteer work at HealthSouth
Rehabilitation Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia way back in (1999) when I
first discovered Recreational Therapy.
My friend Marci was just completing her internship there and
she told me how to get a degree in the profession.
Later, I completed a 60-hour practicum in recreational
therapy with Marci and I felt so happy seeing her degree and Certified
Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credentials on her office wall. I knew
that one day I would have those too. Thanks Marci.
I also learned that my good friend Connie was the first
person to work in Therapeutic Recreation at the Huntington HealthSouth Rehab.
