My good friend, Brian M. teaching this course. 

Goals of this session included:

·         Identify at least one reason TCI was created

·         Identify at least one technique used to help prevent a crisis from occurring and one used to help de-escalate a person

·         Identify at least one technique for emotional first aid

Brian made this session real fun. I gave it an A+

I wish I would have provided more notes on this session. 

Brian is the Rec. Therapist for child and adolescent acute care units. 

He also has additional training to teach staff at River Park Hospital how to use Therapeutic Crisis Intervention. 

The focus of this session was more on prevention strategies to help before needing to use TCI.
