The new re-aligned College of Health and
Department of Occupational and Recreational Therapies at the University of Utah
sends this job announcement reminder. We are currently conducting a
search for a tenure track recreational therapy faculty position.
The new Recreational Therapy Degree Program
has strong partnerships with many of the State’s health care and community
agencies and our Life Skills Clinic provides opportunities for research,
service learning, and recreational therapy practice in the Salt Lake Area. The
University is surrounded by four major medical centers which provides unique
opportunities for research, practice and student placement.
The area is a haven for all those who love the
great outdoors. There are five national parks, seven national monuments,
two national recreation areas, one national historic site, and six national
forests, all located within a day’s drive of campus. Skiing and other winter
sports are available at eight world-class resorts, as well as year-round hiking,
camping, climbing, biking, fishing, rafting, and other pleasures in the
mountains and canyons of numerous forests and wilderness areas.
Both Steve Bell and Sandy Negley will be
attending the ATRA Annual Conference in Albuquerque. We would be
extremely happy to meet with anyone interested in our position or answer
questions regarding the new Recreational Therapy Degree Program. For more
