While I realize that Alabama may not be on your radar,
Mobile is actually a pretty cool city. It is a historical coastal town and a
port city. It opens into Mobile Bay and is just 30 miles from the Gulf of
Mexico. Mobile is known for stellar local seafood, we have an excellent
Arts community and plenty of opportunities for recreation. The city is right on the Mobile River
Delta, the second largest delta in the U.S. It is one of the most biologically
diverse places in America, with huge numbers of fish and turtle species.
Outdoor recreation, kayak/canoe camping, swimming, fishing, boating,
paddle boarding are some of my favorite activities here. I live on Dauphin
Island….a town that is considered one of the “Birdiest towns in America” and is
the sunset capital of Alabama. We are currently experiencing fall bird and
butterfly migration. Mobile is also
home to the oldest carnival celebration in America and Mardi Gras is a State
Holiday. There are daily family friendly parades for weeks that culminate on
Fat Tuesday when all schools close. Just sayin’…Mobile can be habit
forming…give us a chance...we are worth looking into.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3-7EA0U5g4
