Based on my life experiences, I have seen people born into really awesome situations and have a lot of wonderful opportunities, (close to the goal), and didn't do anything meaningful or worthwhile with their life. I have also seen some from the back row who have really moved up and met their goals in life.
I do value the concept of a.) going for your goals in life; and b.) helping others.
