I read an interesting article where a Med Student was learning, however, he became a real life hero when he discovered something wrong with a person during his school-work.
We, RTs are not trained like Med Students. However, I do believe we have some very good degree programs that are preparing people to become outstanding Rec. Therapists.
As always, I encourage Rec. Therapy Students to do their best and learn all they can. We RTs work in settings where we provide treatments for people with serious conditions. Naturally, we want to be providing the highest-quality services that are grounded in research to be proven to be effective for a population/ person with condition or illness. We surely do not want to do anything that could cause harm to be a person.
I encourage all RT practitioners and students in RT degree programs to learn all they can.
