I recently read a novel about a teenage girl, Summer, who is from Minn. She lived in Bloomington, home of the Mall of America. The poor girl had never had a boyfriend.
She went to FL to stay with a depressed cousin. A woman on the plane had some cards and tells Summer her fate -- that she'll meet three guys: one who is a mystery, a bad one, and the right one. She also meets many other guys and falls in love with one.
I think love is leisure activity. So this falls under recreation and summer vacation.
The story has a few twists and plots that I won't tell here.
However, Summer's cousin, Diana is a volunteer an institude. They use dolphins in their treatment for children who've been abused. I thought that was interesting to point out.
The author K. Applegate must have some understanding of animal-assisted therapy in order to write that in her novel.
