Eye-tracking technology to help people with paralysis

Dear Recreational Therapist,

I think you should know about this amazing new technology.
Tony is an artist and he was a pioneer in California graffiti during the 80s and 90s.

PROBLEM:
Tony was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis ( also known as ALS or Lou Gehrig's Disease), a degenerative neuromuscular disorder that causes paralysis and ultimately death.

SOLUTION:
Tony has teamed-up with Graffiti Research Lab, OpenFrameworks and Free Art and Technology communities to develop free and open source eye tracking and drawing software that has helped him make art again for the first time since being hospitalized.

Basically – He can create art with his eyes thanks to this technology.
I’m impressed. This technology could reach the masses one day. I see recreational therapists uses this same type of technology (in the future) to help patients with paralysis to write, send email, browse web-site, maybe even transfer money and pay bills online. This technology could offer tremendous gains in independent living skills for persons with paralysis.

Two quick things:
1.) Watch the video.
2.) Pledge to support this project.
