Dear Rec. Therapist,
I received the following email from a Child life specialist/ drama therapist and thought you'd like to know about this too:
Dear Fellow Child Life Specialists-
My name is Laura Wood and I am a CCLS and Drama Therapist. I am writing to let everyone know about the National Association for Drama Therapy Conference happening this November 4-7th in Chicago, IL.
It is a GREAT opportunity to learn more about the use of PLAY! There are even some CCLS/Drama Therapy people presenting. There are workshops on creating rituals around grief and loss and tons of great stuff about working with kids, families, using guided imagery, puppetry, theraputic story telling and all sorts of stuff inbetween! You dont have to be a drama therapist, just someone who uses and values play in their work.
If you are interested, please check out the website at www.nadt.org
My warmest wishes to all my fellow child life specialists out there,
Laura Wood, MA, RDT, CCLS
2010 NADT Conference Chair
