I'm a self-identified Empath.
Here is a list of traits of an empath (the highly sensitive person) at the link below:
I have a few of these traits:
feeling other's feelings
crowd overwhelms me
I think i'm more sensitive to some medications - like one that doctors say will put you to sleep, keeps me wired. Can't recall the name of it, but I know to avoid it if I hear that med.
Need for alone time
Often feel tired
don't like to do too many things at once. Mindfulness - doing one thing at a time is right for me.
I think I'm a great listener. it is a required skill for m occupation.
I'm not sure if I avoid negative images. I seem to seek those out. I think it is like the DBT skill of comparing self to others who are worse. I read a lot of sad biography/ autobiography stories.
And I don't get bored easily. I have so many books to read and projects to complete and so little time to do it all.
