Slippery Rock University
in Pennsylvania has a really excellent rec. therapy degree program.
I’ve had opportunities
to meet with their professors Mrs. Deb Hutchens and Mrs. Colleen Cooke at
several of the American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) conferences.
They often provide training sessions on hosting clinical internship sites (at the ATRA conferences), which I’ve attended
twice: Kansas City, MI (2004) and Chatanooga, TN, (2012)
I must also say that the
students in the Rec. Therapy degree program at Slippery Rock University display
amazing professionalism. They are a great group of people.
I feel extremely proud
and glad to hear that one of their professors Mrs. Betsy Kemeny had won a
grant to study stress-reduction.
I’d like for you take time to read the article in Slippery Rock University
