Waitress receives $1,000 tip.
A waitress at a Waffle House received a $1,000 tip and the company would not give it to her. Waffle House would did not charge the $1,000 tip and told her she would have to receive the tip by cash or check. The waitress didn't know the individual personally who tipped her. The story got media attention and the person did write her a $1,000 tip.
I felt the story was inspirational. However, we in professions like Rec. Therapy are not allowed to receive tips like this because of ethical issues.
