Birth Order Psychology.

PositiveMed.Com posted an interesting article on how birth order affects a child’s intelligence. The link is below.

I am a fan of A. Adler and birth order psychology. I found the article to be interesting.

I am real close to my siblings in age and was able to see a lot of similarities in the post at the article.

I am the eldest child (born 1980). I did not like some of the character traits listed like: bossy and know-it-all. I sure hope I never come off as that way. I don’t feel like a natural leader, either. However, I agree to the traits, including: being an adult-pleaser, obeys the rules, organized, and high achiever.

My brother Jimmy is the middle child (born in 1981). I see that he has a lot of these traits, including: easy-going, social, peacemaker, and generous. It claims the middle child is often secretive. Sometimes, I don’t know what he is up to.

My sister Carrie is the baby (born in 1983). I can recall her claiming she was “bored” easily as a child. I do see her as the more outgoing one. She has a sense of humor and is able to laugh at things that I am not able to as easily.

The article also has a list for the only child. I have a very close cousin who is an only child. She is about 6-years-older than me. She has several of the traits listed, including: very close to her mother. It says “mature,” and I recall how she would sit in the kitchen with the adults on Sundays and talk at my grandmother’s house. The article claims an “only child” can be sensitive. I could see that in her.

I hope you enjoyed some information about my family.
