I
regret to say that I was not able to attend the one session that I wanted to
attend most at the ATRA annual conference in Pittsburgh, PA.
I made
a huge mistake with time. I thought it started at 1:45 p.m. It started at 1:30
p.m. I was late and the session filled up. Which is so odd because I’m almost
always the first person to enter a training session.
Cynthia
Carruthers, Ph.D., Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (University of
Nevada, Las Vegas) and Colleen Hood, Ph.D., Certified Therapeutic
Recreation Specialist (Brock University) presented a session on:
Enhancing
Therapeutic Recreation Outcomes through Motivational Interviewing and
Acceptance and Commitment Processes at the
Annual American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) Conference in
Pittsburgh, PA earlier this week.
This session was part of the mental health sessions that were provided. I did
email the speaker to ask for information.
