Librarian wants a child to quit reading contest because the champ has won so many contests.
Would this happen in sports or other activities? Would the best player in baseball or football be asked to sit out a game if he hit too many homeruns so other kids could have a chance? I doubt that would happen.
I am opposed to contests for leisure in general. I think the real reward should be internal. The reward is in the activity itself. I don't think the reward should be external. Do the activity for the sake of the activity and not to get something else.
I'm glad to hear that the champ has read so many books.
