Educate people to be more tolerance of others.

I think every recreational therapist should read this article. It is a good article to share with others.

Note: One thing that makes me feel ill is when children or people are mistreated and bullied.

Story I read about in paper:

Penny Loker was born with two birth defects: hemifacial microsomia and Goldenhar Syndrome. These left her face disfigured. She is 31-years-old today and helping to teacher tolerance.

She has experienced some mean comments during her lifetime.

Penny said, “Educating them early on would help them learn to be more tolerant of others who are different. The ability to love, share, bring happiness and help others is the real beauty of a person…”

I want to do more to help promote awareness of this.

Please note that in my book children’s book, “building character with Sam, Izzy, and many other dogs,” lesson # 1 is on accepting differences.
