Treaty that would ban discrimination against people with disablilities did not pass

We, RTs are advocates for people.

We often advocate for people with disablities.

I regret to read that the U.S. Senate did not pass a United Nations treaty that would ban discrimination against people with disabilities.

Of course, we already have laws that do that in the United States. This U.N. treaty would have helped to make the world more like the U.S. in regards to discrimination of people with disabilities. This would have been like an American with Disabilities Act (ADA) for the world.

People with disablities have it a lot harder in other countries.
