I wanted to let you know about a really cool experience that one of our colleagues will be involved with December 8-18. Sarah Conque, CTRS, from the University of Mississippi, will be going to Haiti to provide RT services for an agency called Danita’s Children:

This orphanage serves children with physical and intellectual disabilities. Her university will be donating sports equipment and shipping it to Haiti, and she has raised all of the funds for this trip herself. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring RT to a population that is so often overlooked, or even ignored because of their disabilities. Kudos to Sarah for taking on such a big and exciting task! I know she is also planning to spend more time in Haiti with this organization and others if this trip goes well. If you want to talk with her about it, her email is: s.conque (at) gmail.com
