I like this video for activity directors.
I think it is really neat and it puts a positive light on working with people who are elder.
I laughed aloud at the start of the video when I saw a young child (possibly a grand-daughter) doing the fitness/ exercise with the elderly. I was shocked to see her there. It makes me happy to see that. I think that is great for both the children and the elderly.

Please note that Recreational Therapy and Activities for the Elderly are not the same. RT uses assessment, goal-planning, activity treatment, and evaluation to improve functional ability. Activiteis for the elderly are activities for diversion and to improve quality of life. Many of the activiteis provided by activity directors for the elderly do have therapeutic qualities.
Both RTs and Activity Directors have very rewarding jobs!
