Build-it-yourself playground.

I had read about a really neat type of playground for children.

It is different and unique.

It allows the child to explore creativity because she gets to help build it herself.

I had taken a course in park planning during my undergraduate years as part of the requirements for a degree in Park Resources and Leisure Services with an emphasis in
Therapeutic Recreation.

I can recall one of my professors arguing against ordering playground equipment from a catalog because it is standard and playground across America will have the same design. He suggested that a park should design a playground that is unique to the area.

I really like the idea of the build-it-yourself playground. I believe it would offer many benefits for a child.

Read about it here:
